But after decades of supplying premium wood flooring, beams, stair parts and more for use in some of America’s most luxurious homes, other things have become an important part of our brand identity too – things like design integrity, exclusivity, and sustainability. Like a tree, our brand has grown and matured – and so it was time for our visual identity to do the same.
Why evolve?
As we’ve grown, so has our perception of what our brand truly represents. Over the years, we’ve honed our craft, focusing on delivering wood products that are not only designed by nature but also infused with architectural elegance and sophistication. We’re more than just a supplier of wood products – we’re connoisseurs of rare and beautiful lumber, reclaimed wood and beautiful craftsmanship.
It became clear that our visual identity and tagline needed to evolve to better capture the essence of what WoodCo stands for today — a brand that merges natural beauty with modern design.
Our former tagline, ‘Worldwide Source for Wood’, served us well, but it didn’t quite encapsulate the premium nature of our offerings. That’s why we’ve shifted to something more succinct and aspirational: ‘Designed by Nature’.
This phrase captures the simplicity, elegance, and natural inspiration behind everything we create. It reflects not only the raw beauty of the materials we work with but also the craftsmanship and design that go into transforming them into exquisite wood products for discerning homeowners and design professionals.
Introducing our new logo
Our visual identity has also undergone a transformation. Our previous logo, while meaningful, had limitations in terms of legibility and versatility, particularly in smaller applications. It was time for a design that was as sharp and distinctive as our products. Enter our new logo — a contemporary, abstract wood knot that embodies the architectural nature of our brand.
The new logo mark is minimalist yet powerful, with clean lines that evoke the intricacies of wood grain and structure. We’ve paired this with a refined logotype that features straight edges, ensuring a cohesive alignment with the architectural spaces our products are designed to enhance.
Color palette and typography
As part of our rebranding, we’ve carefully selected a color palette that reflects the rich, natural tones of our products — from deep, earthy browns and reds to lighter, airy tans and greys. These colors will not only enhance our physical and digital assets but also allow for versatility in design and communication. Whether on a dark or light background, our brand will maintain its elegance and clarity.
The new typography is modern and sleek, complementing the refined logo while maintaining a connection to our roots in nature. The balance of straight edges and natural tones ensures that our communications feel both contemporary and grounded in the organic beauty of wood.
A phased rollout
We’re excited to share these changes with you, but we also recognize that a full-scale transformation takes time. That’s why we’ve chosen to roll out our rebrand in phases. You’ll notice our new logo and a refreshed homepage right away, giving you an immediate taste of what’s to come. However, as we continue to update the rest of our website, you’ll gradually see the full transition take shape.
Our merchandise and other physical assets will also be updated over time, with existing stock phasing out to make way for new designs. This phased approach ensures a smooth and seamless transition, while still allowing you to engage with our evolving brand from the very beginning.
